This could be the season that West’s offense finally catches up with its always-nasty defense.
If so, look out for coach Lamar Brown’s Rebels in 2019.
“I expect us to take a big step (offensively),” said Brown, in his third season at West.
“I felt at the end of last year we were a pretty good offense. I think we’ll have a really balanced team.”
The Rebels return eight starters on offense and have an infusion of young skill talent coming aboard.
There’s no mystery at quarterback, either, as Baker Dance (6-1, 175 jr.) has a firm grip on the starting job.
“Up to this point he’s our most-improved football player,” offered Brown.
“He started a couple of games last year. He’s a really smart kid who just needed some time to physically mature.”
