Brent Carter took the Catholic volleyball team to new heights in his first four seasons as coach.
The Lady Irish played in state championship matches every year under Carter and came away with the Class AA state title in 2016.
Carter, now in his fifth year at Catholic, notched another big win Tuesday night when the Lady Irish (2-0) beat host Webb School of Knoxville, 25-18, 23-25, 25-13.
