CORRYTON — Playing quarterback never hurt quite like this for Caden Cummings.
The Hall High School sophomore not only had to shake off his own pain, he also felt for a teammate who was suffering even worse.
In the midst of season-opening struggle with both Gibbs and Mother Nature, the 150-pound sophomore showed quite some threshold for discomfort in directing the Red Devils to a 32-21 comeback road victory.
Dad was rather proud.
“He’s a scrawny thing,” Halls coach Scott Cummings said. “But he’s tougher than nails.”
