CLINTON — Hearing the Dixie Chicks’ hit song “Wide Open Spaces” on the radio Friday morning wasn’t just a coincidence to Ty Youngblood. To him, it was a sign.
Sure enough, Greeneville’s offensive line created enough space for its running backs to wear down the opposing defense in the second half.
For the third straight year, the Greene Devils eliminated Anderson County from the Class 4A playoffs with a 24-7 win in Friday’s second round game at Maverick Stadium.
