Ask any high school prospect, no matter the sport, what it feels like after he or she verbally commits and you’ll likely get a response about relief or some derivative of it.
Greenback standout Holden Willis was no exception to that assumption Tuesday night, although his sigh might have been more profound and pronounced than most.
For Willis, the road to here proved to be trying and taxing at times, an ebb and flow featuring playoff wins, injury offseason camps, awards and recruiting frustrations.
Nevertheless, the 6-foot-4, 210-pound Willis committed to the University of South Florida on Tuesday night, ending this arduous path through the college football recruiting process and helping new Bulls coach Jeff Scott near the completion of his first recruiting class.
