Welcome to another edition of What You Missed.
If this is your first time reading this article, it comes out every Sunday and compiles many news and notes of what you may have missed on social media in the past seven days or so.
Hope you enjoy and come back each Sunday.
Let’s start with Webb School of Knoxville basketball standout Emory Lanier, who picked up two Division I offers this week. Lanier is a point guard in the Class of 2020.

Anderson County senior quarterback Stanton Martin fractured his fibula and tore ligaments on his right ankle in early June. Well, on Tuesday of this past week, Anderson County athletics director Gary Terry tweeted a picture that surely provided a spark of optimism for Martin’s return for the 2018 season opener against Carter.

Approximately 100 kids — very large kids, in fact — gathered Saturday at Farragut High School for the annual Big Man Competition. It’s basically a proving ground for linemen and the like to show off their skills and strength as a unit, and this year’s champion was Hardin Valley.
Proud of these guys for competing at a high level today and winning the 2018 Big Man Lineman Challenge @HVhawkfans #HawkStrong Thanks @CoachFendleyOL for putting together a great event pic.twitter.com/vljFCXY9st

Sports psychologists have played a large role in individual and team successes across a variety of sports the last 15 years. But I can’t remember too many local high school football teams using them. Kudos to South-Doyle coach Clark Duncan for not shying away from using them. He tweeted this pic out on Wednesday.
Great session with our sports psychology coaches! pic.twitter.com/ggypMRzFHS

And the 5Star Preps Tweet of the Week goes to this guy. He knows what’s up!
Just want to give a plug to @5StarPreps
Honestly. If you haven’t subscribed to the website and you enjoy following high school sports…welp you’re missing out. Podcasts, articles and videos are top notch.
Show em some love and subscribe. They deserve it.
