Farragut wide receiver Jaden Gibbs will be following his cousin Isaiah Gibbs to college. Both Admirals are headed to UT-Martin. Jaden Gibbs announced his decision Saturday night.

Catholic offensive lineman Bryn Tucker (6-5, 305) was named a Class of 2020 Preseason All-American by MaxPreps.com. Tucker is a top-flight recruit who is deciding among Tennessee, LSU, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech and Auburn.

Former Christian Academy of Knoxville golfer Davis Shore, who helped Alabama finish as national runner-up this past season, qualified on Tuesday for the U.S. Amateur, shooting 3-under-par over a two-day span. This year’s U.S. Amateur will be played at Pebble Beach.
