South-Doyle looked all the part of Class 5A state contenders once again in its 28-18 win over Fulton Saturday in the season opener for both teams in South Knoxville.
Despite graduating star power like Elijah Young from last season’s 9-4 team that lost to eventual state champion Central in the quarterfinals, the Cherokees featured playmakers all over the field on both sides of the ball against the Falcons.
