MARYVILLE – William Blount delivered a real bell-ringer to Heritage on Thursday night.
The Governors scored 16 unanswered points in the fourth quarter and beat visiting Heritage, 29-22, in the 42nd Battle for the Bell football game.
It ended with a fight in the Heritage end zone with 20 seconds left when officials ruled the game over.
“(The win) means we get to ring that bell,” William Blount coach Phillip Shadowens said.
