As one of the area’s better high school golfers, Michael Human has to miss the occasional football practice while competing for the Grace Christian Academy golf team.
Earlier this week, for instance, the Grace Christian starting wide receiver shot a 7-over-par 79 in the Division II-A East region tournament at Bear Trace Harrison Bay and just narrowly missed out on qualifying for the state tournament.
Juggling both sports can be trying.
“I really just practice (golf) on the weekends (during football season),” Human said.
Either way, Human was up to par on the football field Friday night against Webb School of Knoxville.
