ATHENS – Adversity didn’t faze the Maryville football team Friday night.
The Rebels were without 12 players – including four or five starters – due to COVID-19 related issues for a 21-2 victory over McMinn County.
No. 2-ranked Maryville (9-0, 5-0 in Region 2-6A) moved closer to its 21st consecutive region title with the victory over the No. 4-ranked Cherokees (8-1, 4-1).
