South-Doyle High made a big deal out of the No. 21 in preparation for its Class 5A playoff game at David Crockett Friday night.
The reference was to Crockett star Prince Kollie, a Notre Dame commitment, but also to Cherokees’ running back Shawn Gary, who wore the same jersey number.
“They’ve got a really good 21, but so do we,” S-D coach Clark Duncan said.
