Here are a few mid-week notes from the Twitter world that we wanted to share.
Did you see the touchdown run by Catholic quarterback Jack Jancek last Friday against Baylor? It will likely bring back flashback to Tennessee fans old enough to remember the Vols losing to Memphis in the mid-1990s on a similar play during a kickoff return.
Nevertheless, Jancek showed amazing wherewithal and athletic ability to make this TD run happen in the 35-16 win. He ran for two scores in Week 2.
We see you Jack Jancek!! Way to go O-Line. ☘️🏈☘️🏈💚😘 pic.twitter.com/8m3UyTxz7Z

Maryville head football coach Derek Hunt, in his second season, ran his record to 16-1 with the Rebels. What’s more he’s now 2-1 against 6A power Oakland thanks to Maryville’s come-from-behind, 24-21 win over the Patriots in Week 2.
The Tennessee Titans awarded Hunt with their Coach of the Week award for the effort.
