SEVIERVILLE – There’s lots of recruiting chatter around Catholic’s B.J. Edwards, but it doesn’t follow the 4-star junior guard when he takes to the court.
The 6-foot-3 Edwards, a top-50 player in the Class of 2022 and the consummate team guy, simply wouldn’t allow it.
There’s plenty of time for deciding on the college of his choice, but in the meantime Edwards is zeroed in on helping the Irish defend their Division II-AA state title.
Edwards fired in 24 points Tuesday to lead Catholic (8-2) to an 82-47 win over Christian Academy in the Winterfest Shootout Classic at Sevierville Middle School.
