MARYVILLE – Matthew Clemmer is the starting quarterback for William Blount’s football team and a starting forward for the Governors’ basketball team.
And he’s good at both sports.
“I’ve always said my whole life, whichever season it is, that seems to be my favorite (sport),” Clemmer said. “I love them both.”
The 6-foot-5 junior had to be loving Thursday night when No. 4-seeded William Blount defeated No. 5 Maryville 65-48 in a first-round elimination game of the District 4-AAAA tournament at Heritage.
