JEFFERSON CITY – There’s a reason Central coach Nick Craney plans to make junior running back Frank Johnson IV the centerpiece of the Bobcats’ offense in 2022.
Johnson looked more fluid and quicker than ever Thursday as the Bobcats took part in 7-on-7 play at the FCA Team Football Camp at Carson-Newman.
At 5-foot-9 and 225 pounds, Johnson appears well on his way to becoming a complete running back.
He emerged as mostly a power back as a sophomore, rushing for 904 yards and 13 touchdowns.
But there’s much more to Johnson’s game these days.
