Bryan Brown built the Hardin Valley Academy cross country and track and field programs from scratch in 2008, quickly turning both into state powers.
After an almost unparalleled run at HVA that included 13 state team championships and 33 KIL titles, Brown confirmed today that he is stepping down as coach and athletics director at the West Knoxville school.
The 49-year-old Brown will serve in the newly created position of Athletic Director Specialist for Knox County Schools.
