Scrimmages provide a great chance for a head coach to get an early look at their team.
It becomes even more important when the head coach is entering his first season in that role with the school.
That was the case Friday for both Oak Ridge football coach Scott Cummings and Fulton coach Jeff McMillan at Bob Black Field.
