Roberto Castro wants to lead the West girls’ soccer team to a district title – and fast.
Castro, a 2011 graduate of Alcoa and former player and assistant coach there, left his alma mater for his first head coaching job at West.
“I told the girls as soon as I got here I came here to win and my expectations from Day One are to win and to win the district,” Castro said Saturday during the 23rd annual KIL Girls Soccer Jamboree at West.
“The girls haven’t won a district here since 2009 and I want to change that, not two years from now but three months from now.”
