GREENBACK — It was just another Friday night of football for Coalfield senior Rommel Conlon.
He leaped over a defender, pulled down a pass, and ran in for a touchdown. He made a one-handed catch for another touchdown. He got in front of a Greenback receiver and made an interception.
“He’s a kid that I am on probably harder than any other kid on our football team because he is so athletic,” Coalfield coach Benson Napier said. “Anytime we step on the field, he’s the most athletic player on the field.
“When he wants to make the plays, he goes and makes them.”
Conlon made plenty of plays in the 40-6 victory over host Greenback.
