CLINTON, Tenn. — They’ll be practicing on Thanksgiving for just the second time in program history at Anderson County.
The Mavericks (13-0) dispatched perennial power Greeneville 38-7 Friday night in the Class 4A state quarterfinals to earn a trip to the semifinals.
AC will travel to Chattanooga next week to face Red Bank (11-2), a 28-6 winner over East Hamilton in its quarterfinal game on Friday.
Thanks to the pinpoint passing of senior quarterback Walker Martinez, the Mavericks got past nemesis Greeneville (12-1) with shocking ease.
