Some of the area’s and state’s top basketball talent and teams will convene Thursday, Dec. 20 and Friday, Dec. 21 for the inaugural 5Star Preps Classic presented by Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinic.
5Star Preps announced the tournament host sites – Fulton, Farragut, William Blount and Christian Academy of Knoxville – live on Twitter on Monday night. The schedule for each host site is below.
Each site will feature 3-4 games each day, some even possibly previewing state-tournament games to come. Case in point, take the 4 p.m. game Friday, Dec. 21, at William Blount; Bearden was a state semifinalist in Class AAA girls’ basketball last season. The Lady Bulldogs (9-1) will take on 2018 Class AAA state runner-up Houston (10-0).
Riverdale and Siegel will head to Knoxville from the Murfreesboro area to compete in the boys’ field.
