2018 All-5Star Preps Cross Country Team
First Team – GIRLS
Taylor Cosey, sr., Webb: After sitting out her junior season (transfer from CAK), Cosey made the most of her one year at Webb. She was at her best in the Division II Small Class state meet, clocking a 5K time of 19:10.76 to place fourth. Was also third at region (19:48) and fifth at KIL (19:36).
Lindsay Holliday, sr., Webb: Holliday’s strong postseason run included a third-place (19:02.76) at the state meet and a runner-up (19:34) effort at region. She also took eighth at KIL in 19:54. Helped the Spartans to their seventh state team title in a row.
Cathryn Jardet, soph., Hardin Valley: Part of the next wave of talented young runners in the area, Jardet was third at both KIL (19:06) and the Region 2 Large Class meet (19:21). She closed the season with a 19:26 at state, good for 16th place.
Andie-Marie Jones, fresh., Maryville: The Lady Rebels’ standout ninth-grade runner burst onto the scene by placing second (19:03) at region and seventh (19:05.99) at the state meet.
Eleanor Mancini, jr., Catholic: Mancini, who didn’t run cross country last season, shocked the field by winning the Region 2 Large Class meet in 18:59 at Victor Ashe Park. She was also second (19:01) at KIL and 29th (20:02.37) at state.
Niki Narayani, sr., Webb: Narayani goes down as one of the most-decorated runners ever after being a part of her fifth state championship team at Webb. She also registered her first individual state title in November in Nashville, winning the Division II Small Class crown in 18:20.43. Was also region (18:43) and KIL (18:26) champion.
Marley Townsend, fresh., West: Townsend paved the way for the Lady Rebels’ shocking team championship at the Division I Large Class meet by placing ninth in 19:08.63. She also finished sixth and fourth, respectively, at the region (19:30) and KIL (19:11) meets.

First Team – BOYS
Joshua Ebbert, jr., Farragut: Turned in big-time performances at the Division-1 Large Schools state meet (24th, 16:41.28) and KIL championship (second, 16:33). Was also the No. 8-finisher (16:54) at region.
Emerson Fulton, sr., Gatlinburg-Pittman: Highlanders standout parlayed a Region 2-Small Schools meet victory (17:04) into a state championship at the Division I-Small Schools meet with an impressive 16:41.02 finish.
Dalton Morgan, sr., Oak Ridge: Led the Wildcats this season with a fifth-place showing (16:46) at the Region 2-Large Schools meet and a 28th-place clocking (16:49.62) at the Division-1 Large Schools state championships.
Jake Renfree, sr., Catholic: The Notre Dame signee made it a clean sweep this season in the Big 3 races, winning the KIL (15:44), the Region 2-Large Schools (15:53) title and the Division I-Large Schools (15:25.58) state championship.
Eli Sharp, sr., Farragut: Sharp was a key cog for the Admirals, who finished second at region and seventh at state in. He garnered seventh place (16:50) at region and 31st (16:52.40) at state. Also was fifth (16:38) at KIL.
Jordan Thomas, sr., West: Was a model of consistency this season for the Rebels, finishing third (16:35) at KIL, third (16:39) at the Region 2-Large Schools championships and 15th (16:26.99) at the Division-1 Large Schools state championships.
Tommy Ward, jr., Maryville: Ward trailed only Renfree at the Region 2 meet as he finished second in 16:25. Was 54th at the state meet in 17:18.94. Also won the Cherokee Invitational on Oct. 6 in Knoxville.
