2018 All-5Star Preps Girls Soccer Team
Abby Brewer, jr., forward, Bearden: The most valuable player in District 2-AAA, Brewer garnered 28 goals and had nine assists. She also earned all-district, all-region and all-state honors last season.
Emily Carlevato, sr., midfielder, Bearden: Another all-state honoree for the Lady Bulldogs, Carlevato totaled 10 goals and 14 assists on her way to winning District 2-AAA midfielder of the year accolades.
Avery Catlett, sr., midfielder, Webb: A three-time all-state selection, Catlett finishes as the Lady Spartans’ all-time leading scorer with 101 goals and 48 assists. She signed with Chattanooga.
Reyna Coston, jr., midfielder, Maryville: An all-state pick, Coston scored 22 goals and handed out 16 assists, helping the Lady Rebels to the state Class AAA quarterfinals. Maryville finished 19-2-3 with its only two losses coming against eventual state champion Houston.
Maggie Jones, sr., GK, Bearden: Posted 11 shutouts and allowed just 20 goals in 25 games. Jones was voted all-district and all-region in 2018 as the Lady Bulldogs finished 19-5-1 and advanced to the state semifinals.
Abbey Kolarik, sr., defender, Maryville: A Samford signee, Kolarik registered 26 goals and 37 assists during her four years with the Lady Rebels. Her bevy of honors included all state and district defensive player of the year. She tallied 10 goals and 13 assists this season.
Kiana Lane, sr., defender/midfielder, Hardin Valley: An all-state selection, Lane totaled six goals and five assists this season for the Lady Hawks who lost to Bearden in the state sectionals.
Grace Oliver, sr., forward, Maryville: Helped the Lady Rebels to three state tournament appearances in her four seasons. In addition to earning all-state honors, Oliver was the Region 2 player of the year and the District 4 offensive player of the year. The Lipscomb signee scored 28 goals this season.
Rachel Reid, sr., defender, Maryville: The all-state defensive stopper was an integral part of a stingy Lady Rebels defense that allowed only 12 goals and recorded 15 shutouts this season.
Mackenzie Smith, sr., midfielder, Hardin Valley: Smith, who registered 13 goals and 19 assists, was the District 4-AAA player of the year. An all-state selection blessed with uncanny physical ability, Smith will play at Chattanooga.
Bailey Taylor, sr., midfielder, Powell: The two-time all-state selection recorded 22 goals and 17 assists her senior season. Taylor, who will play at Tennessee Tech, finished her Powell career with 70 goals and 49 assists. She was the 2018 District 3-AAA MVP and a four-time all-region and all-district pick.
