STRAWBERRY PLAINS — Halls is just one win away from qualifying for the state basketball tournament for the first time in school history.
Chandler Gamble’s short turnaround jumper with 34 seconds to play proved to be the game-winning shot Thursday as the Red Devils slipped past host Carter 63-61 in the Region 2-3A tournament championship game at Jim Williams Gymnasium.
