LENOIR CITY — Lenoir City’s baseball team is back in the position it was in last season when it fell one victory short of the Class AAA state tournament.
The Panthers want to take the next step this year to state in Murfreesboro.
Senior right-hander Jack Dye threw a four-hitter and the No. 1-seeded Panthers beat No. 3 South-Doyle 9-2 in Saturday afternoon’s winners-bracket final of the Region 3-3A tournament.
