The signs were there.
But there was still a degree of shock to the three goals in a nine-minute barrage the Hardin Valley boys soccer team put on West in the second half.
The Hawks defeated the Rebels 3-1 on Wednesday at West in the semifinals of the Region 2-AAA Tournament.
The victory advances Hardin Valley to the region finals at Bearden on Thursday, and ends West’s season with only two losses.
