Boys Class AAA
First Team
Tezz Dozier, Maryville: Rebels senior finished third (21.07) in the 200 and fourth (10.65) in the 100 in packed sprint fields at the state Class AAA meet in May. Dozier also ran legs on Maryville’s state championship 4×200 relay team and state runner-up 4×100 team.
Grant Campbell, Heritage: The University of Tennessee signee cleared 7 feet to win the state AAA high jump title. Earlier in the spring season Campbell broke the state record and later posted a mark of 7-3.25, which was the top high jump in the country at the time. He’s the 5Star Preps Male Track and Field Athlete of the Year.
Bryce Thompson, Farragut: Just a sophomore, Thompson was state champion in the shot put (57-11.75), winning the event by almost five feet and setting a new school record. He also placed sixth in the state discus throw.
Trevor Coggin, Farragut: Coggin was state runner-up (4:16.93) in the 1600. He was also seventh in the 3200. The senior, who will run for Tennessee, had a hand in setting four school records for the Admirals.
Taylor Madison, Sevier County: Madison will be one of the sprinters to watch in the state the next two years. The sophomore qualified for four events in the state meet and posted top times of 10.72 in the 100 and 21.72 in the 200.
Tyson Jackson, Farragut: Admirals senior garnered a second-place showing in the discus at the state AAA meet with a school-record toss of 156-04.
Aiden Shaw, Hardin Valley: The senior was fourth in the state AAA meet in the 400 in 48.68. The Lee University-signee also ran on the Hawks’ all-state 4×400 relay.
Cade Crum, Bearden: Bulldogs sophomore ran 4:20.71 to place fourth in the 1600 at the state AAA meet.
Matteo Tonnos, Farragut: Admirals junior was clocked in 9:15.70 as he placed second in the 3200 at the state meet.
Michael Mendonca, Farragut: Mendonca, who will run for MTSU, finished up his high school career by taking fifth in the 800 (1:56.07) at the state meet. He also ran on Farragut’s runner-up 4×800 relay team that was second in a school-record 7:54.43.
McKale Hayes, Hardin Valley: Talented HVA sophomore was third in the state 300 hurdles in 39.26.
Lance Hatcher, Maryville: Hatcher ran 1:55.90 to take fourth place at the state championships in the 800.
Braden Ebbert, Farragut: Crossed the finish line in the 3200 in 9:17.95 to claim fourth place at the state meet.
Nick Moore, Jefferson County: Patriots sophomore took third in the state meet in the shot put with a throw of 53-01.

Jordan Harris, Alcoa: The much-decorated Tornadoes senior closed out his career with another stellar performance in the Class A state meet. Harris won the long jump (22-06) and 100 (10.84). He also placed second in the triple jump (44-01) and 200 (22.41).
Jayquon Price, Greeneville: Price’s busy state Class AA meet included victories in the long jump (22-03) and triple jump (44-04.25). The senior also was fourth in the decathlon with 5,179 points.
Teddy Orton, Elizabethton: Cyclones senior captured both hurdles as he won the 300s in 40.53 and the 110s in 14.73.
Alden Wetzel, Union County: Multi-event senior racked up in the sprints at the state Class AA meet. He won the 200 in 22.57, was second in the 400 (49.50) and third (11.18) in the 100.
Tyrell Miles, Claiborne: Bulldogs junior had a pair of top-three finishes in the field events at the state AA meet. Miles was second in the triple jump (43-06.75) and third in the long jump (21-01.5).
Ethan Demeter, Northview Academy: Demeter capped his junior campaign with second-place showings in the AA state meet in the pole vault (13-0) and decathlon (5,400 points). He was also third in the 110 hurdles in 15.82.
Tyler Gildersleeve, Northview Academy: The senior broke school records in the long jump, triple jump and 1500 on his way to placing sixth in the state decathlon.
Dimere Ligon, Austin-East: Roadrunners sophomore finished fourth in the 200 and fifth in the 100 at the state AA meet. He also ran on two A-E relay teams at the state championships.
Camden Burse, Austin-East: A-E senior went out in style at the state AA meet as he claimed second (50-00.25) in the shot put and fifth (139-06) in the discus.
Hunter Kinsey, Northview Academy: Cougars junior registered a second-place showing in the high jump (6-2) at the AA state meet.
Zayden Anderson, Greeneville: Just a freshman, Anderson will be a force to be reckoned with in the long jump for the next three years after finishing second (21-11) in the state AA meet.
Sam Bridges, Alcoa: Tornadoes junior had a busy Class A state meet as he placed fifth in the 800, fifth in the 1600 and sixth in the 3200.
J.J. Durbin, Greeneville: Greene Devils thrower garnered third in the discus at the state AA meet with a mark of 148-1.

Keegan Smith, Catholic: Running against stiff competition in the Division 2-AA state championship meet, the sophomore distance standout emerged as champion in the 1600 (4:17.18) and 3200 (9:12.35).
Mike Conley, Webb: The junior marked 22-6.5 to earn third place in the long jump at the state D2-AA meet. He also established a Webb record of 44-5 in the triple jump during the season.
Silas Fulford, CAK: The Christian Academy sophomore was DII-A champion in the pole vault (13-0). He also registered a fifth place in the 100 hurdles at the state meet.
Ari Klasky, Webb: Junior took fourth in a talented discus field at the DII-AA state meet with a throw of 158-09.
JR Fowler, Catholic: One of the top young throwers in the state, the ninth grader placed fifth (157-11) at the DII-AA state meet in the discus and seventh (47-01.50) in the shot put.
Palmer McGuffin, Lakeway Christian: Lions junior claimed medals in two hurdles events at the state DII-A meet. He was second (15.19) in the 110s and fifth in the 300s (42.17).
Joshua Cross, CAK: Warriors 11th grader medaled in the 1600 (third), 3200 (fourth) and 800 (sixth) at the state meet.
