Farragut senior Michael Delph had a life-changing game July 18 while pitching for the Tennessee Nationals in East Cobb, Georgia.
The 6-foot-2 right-hander threw a three-hitter in a 1-0 victory against Scorpions Baseball of Orlando, Florida, in the WWBA 17-under Nationals.
Delph struck out seven and walked one, with his fastball ranging from 84 to 91 mph.
“They had a lot of Power 5 commits and they were a really solid team,” Delph recalls. “I pitched really, really good, threw a complete game, threw 76 pitches in seven innings. It was a really good team and it was at East Cobb (Baseball Complex), and there were tons of scouts there.”
