FARRAGUT —Head coach Eddie Courtney gave Landis Davila a look with the clock winding down in the fourth quarter.
Farragut football was in a fourth-and-long situation, needing a score to beat Powell.
Davila knew the look from last week when he caught a game-winning touchdown to help the Admirals defeat Dobyns-Bennett.
The result on Friday at Bill Clabo Field was the same.
Quarterback Cam Duncan hit Davila in stride for a 32-yard touchdown to secure a 28-21 Farragut victory.
“There weren’t really many options other than that play,” Davila said. “Might as well throw it deep and this time it worked out for us.”
