Evan Winchester brought back some of Clinton basketball’s finest memories during a 100-71 victory over Halls last Tuesday (Jan. 15).
The 6-foot-2 junior point guard dished out 21 assists, breaking a single-game school record of 20 dating back to 1988.
It’s a legit record, too.
Clinton boys coach Chris Lockard held the previous record. He was so amazed with Winchester’s performance against Halls that he watched the game tape and dissected each assist.
