CLINTON — Any naysayers to the adage that defense wins championships should have attended Friday’s matchup between West and Anderson County.
Because both defending state champions were carried by their defenses.
And when the “rock fight” was over, it was the Rebels still standing.
After its 21-game win streak ended last week, West got started on a new one with an 8-7 road win over Anderson County.
