CLINTON —On paper, it was a matchup of two teams undefeated in region play.
On the field, Anderson County proved there is still a gap between themselves and the rest of Region 2-4A with a commanding 55-6 victory over visiting Gibbs on Friday night.
The Mavericks are a win away from making it through region play unblemished for the seventh straight season, and they asserted their dominance over an Eagles team that had won six games in a row.
