We sent Kenneth Richmond, who we call “Intern Kenny,” out to to the Grace Christian at Webb School of Knoxville boys’ game on Friday night to capture some video highlights.
These two programs played five times in the 2017-18 season, with Grace winning three — including the two-point victory over Webb in the 2018 Division II-A state championship.
Two weeks ago, though, Webb handed Grace an 80-52 loss, as the Rams were still searching for some offensive flow and confidence without star point guard C.J. Gettelfinger (wrist surgery).
But, on Friday night, Grace gave Webb a better fight, though the Spartans still won 60-58. Grace’s Grant Ledford scored 35 and hit a 3 at the game’s buzzer to close the final gap to two. Uriah Powers led Webb (21-6) with 18 points. Emory Lanier added 15.
