Dewayne Wells
Dewayne Wells, the head football coach at Morristown East of the last five seasons, resigned from that post on Thursday morning.
The Citizen Tribune first reported Wells’ departure before it was confirmed minutes later on Twitter by Morristown East athletics director Morgane Watkins.
He accepted a coaching position at the University of Cumberland in Williamsburg, Ky., where his sons Stephen and Phillip are co-defensive coordinators and co-special teams coordinators.
