Dominoes began falling in the weeks leading up to Christmas, as some area high school football coaches made jumps to new programs and left behind vacancies in their wake.
But those openings are starting to get filled.
South-Doyle became the first area program to announce their new football hire on Wednesday, Jan. 3 — as the Cherokees posted on social media that L.A. Headrick was their new head football coach.
Headrick replaces Paul Shelton, who resigned Dec. 19 to go back to coaching in college.
