Less than a week ago, the Alcoa girls basketball team upset Gatlinburg-Pittman in the finals of the District 2-2A tournament.
Was it just a slip up for the powerhouse Lady Highlanders, or did the Lady Tornadoes figure out something they weren’t able to in two regular-season losses?
Luckily, those questions won’t remain hypothetical after Monday’s Region 1-2A tournament semifinals at Alcoa set up an anticipated rematch Wednesday.
Both teams will also get to play in substate games Saturday.
