BOYS FIRST TEAM
(Individual state champions automatically earn berths in their respective classifications)
Colin Eckerman, Sr., Webb: Spartans distance star etched his name into the TSSAA record books by winning the Division II-AA 1600 in 4:04.55. That erased the previous state record of 4:05.75. Eckerman added another state title in the 3200, winning by more than seven seconds in 9:12.93.
Bryce Thompson, Jr., Farragut: Thompson was one of the state’s top all-around throwers as he won the Class AAA shot put (61-05.75) and was second in the state meet in the discus (159-01). Had a state-best mark of 65-10.5 in the shot put for the outdoor season.
Zaydyn Anderson, Soph., Greeneville: The two-sport standout led the Greene Devils to their third state T&F title since 2014. Anderson won two gold and two silver medals at the state 2A meet. He took first in both the long jump (22-03.25) and 200 (21.88) while claiming second in the triple jump (43-09.50) and 100 (11.07).
Michael Conley, Sr., Webb: The Webb standout posted three top-three individual finishes at the state DII-AA meet in Murfreesboro. Conley was second in the long jump (22-00.5) and 100 (10.72). He also took third in the 200 in 21.77.
Tyrell Miles, Sr., Claiborne: Miles won the triple jump at the state AA meet with an impressive mark of 46-05. He also took second in the long jump (21-09.25).
Ethan Demeter, Sr., Northview Academy: Cougars multi-event performer won the Class AA decathlon with 5,748 points and also captured an individual state title in the pole vault (14-0).
Braden Ebbert, Sr., Farragut: Ebbert capped his sterling distance career with a state championship in the 3200 (9:11.04) at the state Class AAA meet.
Mason Greenhalgh, Soph., Oak Ridge: Greenhalgh gave the Wildcats a state AAA championship in the 800 as he posted a winning effort of 1:57.09.
Luke Dark, Soph., Anderson County: One of Tennessee’s top underclassman performers in the weight events, Dark won the shot put (57-05.75) at the state 2A meet.
Brody Foster, Soph., Halls: One of the up-and-coming multi-event athletes in the area and state, Foster placed fourth in the 3A state meet in the decathlon with 6,104 points.
Philip Lotivio, Sr., Morristown West: Another multi-event standout, Lotivio placed fifth (6,018) in the state 3A decathlon and seventh in the state meet in the pole vault (14-0).
Joshua Cross, Sr., Christian Academy: Cross took gold medals at the state DII-A meet in the 1600 (4:25.21) and 3200 (9:55.64). He was also fourth in the 800.
Blayne Jackson, Jr., Northview Academy: Jackson gave the Cougars a state championship in the high jump as he cleared 6-6 to earn the 2A crown.
Ari Klasky, Sr., Webb: One of many tremendous throwers in the area, Klasky took fifth in the DII-AA state meet in both the shot put (53-03) and discus (158-05).
J.R. Fowler, Soph., Catholic: Irish underclassman earned all-state accolades in the DII-AA state meet in the discus with an impressive mark of 166-10.
Gavin Bailey, Jr., Bearden: Bailey cleared 15-06 to win the silver medal in the state Class AAA pole vault.
Keegan Smith, Jr., Catholic: Irish distance standout ran 1:54.41 to earn second place in the 800 at the DII-AA state meet.
Josiah Tucker, Soph., Alcoa: Won the Class AA 110 hurdles in 15.57.
Vance Laster, Jr., Anderson County: Was state AA champion in the 3200 (9:40.93).

GIRLS FIRST TEAM
Gracie Waite, Sr., Hardin Valley: Waite dominated the throws at the state Class AAA meet, winning both the shot put and discus in convincing fashion. She marked at 141-04 and 42-05, respectively, to take the gold medal in the discus and shot put.
Lennox Langham, Jr., Webb: Langham owned the jumps at the DII-AA meet as she helped the Lady Spartans edge Harpeth Hall by 2.5 points for the team state championship. She won the long jump (18-03.25) and triple jump (37-11.5) as Webb took the crown.
Chloe Truss, Soph., Catholic: For the second consecutive year Truss was a major player in the sprints at the DII-AA state championships. She won the 100 (12.07) and was second in the 400 (56.40) and 200 (25.43).
Carolina Areheart, Soph., Webb: Lady Spartans middle/distance standout dominated her specialties at state. She won the 1600 in 4:53.28 and the 800 in 2:16.7.
Jazzlyn Garmer, Soph., Webb: A key member of the Lady Spartans’ imposing arsenal of middle/distance runners, Garmer won the 3200 (10:44.47) and was runner-up in the 800 (2:18.17).
Savannah Darnell, Jr., William Blount: A top-tier multi-event athlete, Darnell scored in the high jump (sixth), 200 (seventh) and pentathlon (eighth) at the state AAA meet.
Katie Edmunds, Jr., Farragut: Lady Admirals pole vaulter followed up her sectional championship with a second-place finish (11-0) in the state Class AAA meet.
Ava Moody, Soph., Anderson County: Lady Mavericks star swept the distance events at the 2A state meet as she took gold medals in the 1600 (5:02.88) and 3200 (11:09.64).
McCary Beaty, Jr., McMinn Central: Beaty had a strong showing at the state Class AA meet. She won the 300 hurdles in 44.86 and was third in the pentathlon with 2,944 points.
Callie Wetzel, Jr., Union County: Wetzel had a busy day in the hurdles at the 2A state meet. She was third in the 300s (47.48) and fourth in the100s (16:29).
Calysta Garmer, Soph., Webb: Garmer was second in the 1600 (4:59.98) and fourth in the 800 (2:21.18) at the state DII-AA championships.
Seven Pettus, Sr., Oak Ridge: Lady Wildcats sprinter took fourth (25.39) in the 200 and eighth (12.30) in the 100 in the dashes at the state Class AAA championships.
Maddie Archdale, Sr., Hardin Valley: Longtime distance star capped her career at the state 3A meet by finishing sixth (5:07.21) in the 1600 and eighth (11:05.30) in the 3200.
Kate Robinson, Sr., West: Lady Rebels standout placed sixth (10:57.56) in the state AAA meet in the 3200 and seventh (5:12.16) in the 1600.
Darrah Wiseman, Jr., Tellico Plains: Claimed state championships in the 1600 and 800 at the state Class A meet.
Peyton Sipos, Soph., Catholic: Placed in three events at the state DII-AA meet. Sipos was second (45.47) in the 300 hurdles, fifth (14.98) in the 110 hurdles and seventh in the high jump.
Elissa Longmire, Sr., Jefferson County: Lady Patriots thrower picked up a pair of runner-up finishes in the discus (121-0) and shot put (38-04.5) at the 3A state meet.
Maggie Frana, Jr., Catholic: Frana claimed the state championship in the discus (110-05) for DII-AA.
Maddox Mayfield, Sr., McMinn Central: Cruised to a runner-up finish (57.56) in the state 2A 400 championship race.
