Sevier County sophomore Cooper Newman was humming the football Tuesday during a 7-on-7 passing scrimmage at Farragut.
Short sideline passes. Mid-range passes to the middle of the field. Deeper endzone passes.
Newman was making all the throws.
“I felt good,” Newman said. “The receivers did their job in getting open and I got them the ball.”
His display was no surprise.
