Farragut’s volleyball team rolled to a state tournament berth in dominant fashion Thursday night, beating visiting Tennessee High of Bristol 3-0 in a Class AAA sectional match.
The Lady Admirals are headed to state for the first time since 2016, but they’ll have plenty of state tournament experience on their bench.
Second-year Farragut head coach Andre Alves spent seven seasons (2015-21) as an assistant at Catholic under Brent Carter. They coached the Lady Irish to state tournament appearances all seven seasons Alves was there and won two state titles (2016, 2021).
Now, Alves wants to get one for the Lady Admirals, who won Thursday’s match 25-7, 25-15, 25-10.
