SEYMOUR – The necklace hangs just inside the doorway of a locker room adjacent to the Seymour High baseball team’s dugout.
The inspiration behind the hero’s ornament is borrowed. Seymour first baseman Marcus Joyner modeled the creation after the turnover necklace brandished by the Miami Hurricanes football team.
But there’s also a creativity involved that’s solely the Eagles’ doing.
“We can’t just have a basic chain,” Joyner said. “You’ve got to add something do it.”
