The tweet, if anything, got me thinking.
Tommy Winton, a well-mannered and highly sought-after Class of 2022 football prospect from Catholic High School, playfully sent a tweet out on June 15 to Powell football coach Matt Lowe that stated “Let’s give the people what they wanna see.”
Translation: Catholic vs. Powell in 2021.
Will it transpire? Hard to say.
With so much uncertainty around this season’s schedule and the TSSAA’s next classification cycle, it may be a while before coaches begin setting their schedules for the 2021-22 seasons.
Nevertheless, Winton’s tweet sent us to work.
