Landen Hensley is ready to take the reins as Campbell County’s starting quarterback.
It’s a hefty role for a sophomore, running the Cougars’ pass-happy offense.
Hensley was the backup last year for 2022 graduate Hunter White, a three-year starter who threw for 2,209 yards and 15 touchdowns last season.
“I’ve got senior receivers across the board,” Hensley said before Thursday night’s lightning-delayed scrimmage at Webb School of Knoxville. “It’s a lot better than stepping in there and not having anybody with experience. They’ve helped me out a lot.”
