HOW PLAYERS ARE SELECTED
Below you’ll find the 2024 All-5Star Preps Volleyball Teams. The athletes are chosen based on a variety of factors, including: overall talent/skill, 2024 season statistics, team success in 2024, nominees from their head coaches, and recommendations from area coaches.
All-5Star Preps VOLLEYBALL Teams (2024)
FIRST TEAM
Nora James (Catholic, junior, libero)
James led the Lady Irish with 291 digs in the 2024 season, also logging 32 aces for Catholic — one of the top volleyball programs around.
Brooke Dawson (Bearden, senior, libero)
A Troy signee and two-time District 4-AAA Libero of the Year, Dawson posted 657 digs and 74 aces for the Lady Bulldogs in the fall.
Bella Ekeler (Farragut, junior, setter)
The 5Star Preps Volleyball Player of the Year and Georgia Southern commit led Farragut (31-7) to a final-four finish at state. Her junior season included 913 assists and 255 digs.
Sadie Roach (Maryville, senior, setter)
A Tusculum signee, Roach played a large role in Maryville’s 24-win season and third place finish in the Class AAA state tournament with 342 digs, 59 aces, 44 kills and 1,010 set assists.
Addison Addair (Lakeway, junior, setter)
Addair helped Lakeway finish 26-5 and make state, recording 646 assists and 195 digs along the way.
Mia Kinney (Catholic, sophomore, outside hitter)
Kinney played beyond her years in 2024, leading Catholic with 242 kills and also in aces (41). She also had 222 digs.
Trinity Rye (Farragut, senior, outside hitter)
Rye helped pace Farragut (31-7) to a region title and fourth-place finish at state with 525 kills, 246 digs and 66 aces.
Alex Mendillo (Catholic, senior, outside hitter)
The Belmont signee was one of the top Division II player in Catholic’s region. She had 235 kills, 117 digs, and 26 aces in the fall.
Lennox Langham (Webb, senior, outside hitter)
A staple as a standout in East Tennessee for years, the Florida State was the DII-AA East Player of the Year with 411 kills, 287 digs, 83 service points and 32 aces.
Darby Felts (Lakeway, junior, outside hitter)
Area coaches rave about Felts’ ability. She led Lakeway to a 26-5 mark and was district MVP. She had 585 kills and 241 digs in 2024. Auburn has offered.
Alyssa Meier (Anderson County, senior, middle/outside hitter)
The Lady Mavs returned to state once again in 2024 and Meier was a district MVP with 408 kills, 42 aces, 343 digs and 166 points.
Elsa Morrison (Farragut, senior, middle/outside hitter):
The Lady Vol Softball signee was legit on the court, as well, with 371 kills, 53 aces, and 240 digs in helping Farragut (31-7) to a fourth-place finish in the state.
Shelby Kelly (Anderson County, senior, middle/outside hitter):
A region MVP during AC’s run to the Class AA state tournament, Kelly logged 380 kills, 48 aces, 400 digs, and 232 points in the 2024 season.
Chennille McClellan (Maryville, senior, middle hitter)
One of the pillars of Maryville’s 2024 run to a third place finish in Class AAA, McClellan finished her final prep season with 541 kills, 170 digs, 15 aces, and 15 blocks.
Tallulah Carney (Webb, junior, middle hitter)
The 6-foot-2 Carney led the region in hitting percentage was also first in total blocks. She wasn’t too shabby in the kills department, either.
