Setting the scene, Jefferson County Football took a major step towards centerstage this past fall, winning 10 games and claiming the program’s first postseason win since 2003.
But to return to the Class 6A second round, or go possibly beyond, head coach Spencer Riley and his staff have to fill some vacancies left behind by the graduation of a 1,000-yard, college-caliber running back and an ultra-productive linebacking corps.
Here’s a look deeper into the spring practice for the Patriots, what they accomplished and their outlook going forward into the summer and fall.
