MARYVILLE — Check out all of Kenneth Richmond’s phots from Thursday’s rivalry game between Alcoa and Maryville.
Maryville senior guard and Furman commitment Joe Anderson scored 26 points and topped the 2,000-point plateau for his career in the 65-55 win. His teammate Ashton Maples added nine points and 20 rebounds for the Rebels (15-3).
Alcoa freshman Tai Cates led the Tornadoes (11-7) with 13 points. Cam Burden and T.J. Martin pitched in 11 apiece.
The two Blount County rivals will rematch at Alcoa on Friday, Feb. 14.
