CLINTON — 5Star Preps photographer Danny Parker caught all the action Friday at Anderson County High School for the Mavericks District 3-AAA contests against visiting Campbell County.
The Campbell County girls opened the night with a 60-52 win, holding on late despite going 5-for-16 at the foul line in the fourth quarter. Cora Browning paced the Lady Cougars with 25 points.
In the night cap, the Anderson County boys earned a home victory, 86-53, over Campbell County. The Mavericks made 14 3-pointers to improve to 5-1 (1-0). Connor Martin led AC with 22 points, 14 of which came in the first quarter. Carter Jett hit five 3s and scored 21.
