Tre Lyons is a rising senior at Central and a two-year starter at strong safety.
Sam Myers will be a junior for the Bobcats this fall after spending last year as the junior-varsity quarterback.
Lyons and Myers are competing for Central’s starting quarterback job to replace Ryan Bolton, a 2022 graduate who signed to play baseball for Carson-Newman.
And both had their moments during Tuesday’s 7-on-7 scrimmages at Farragut that also included Anderson County, Sevier County, and The King’s Academy.
