JACKSBORO — Maryville High School junior quarterbacks Braden Carnes and Cade Chambers tried this receiver and that receiver for the first handful of plays of Tuesday’s 7-on-7 scrimmage at Campbell County.
Each attempt produced little-to-small gains.
Then, finally, junior wide receiver A.J. Davis got his number called, and he shook his defender and hauled in a 55-yard touchdown catch down the home sideline.
