ENGLEWOOD – Mak Bremer wasn’t on the court Saturday night for the Alcoa girls’ basketball team, but she was in the hearts and minds of the Lady Tornadoes.
The 5-11 junior forward sat on the bench with an ACL injury as Alcoa defeated host McMinn Central 66-61 in a Class AA sectional game for a berth in next week’s state tournament.
Bremer was hurt on the same court at McMinn Central in the Nov. 18 season opener, a 74-65 Alcoa loss.
